In the busy world we live in, sending greeting cards to touch someone is such a powerful thing especially in this e-mail, Internet, technology-driven world.

Just taking a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the people that are closest to you makes a HUGE difference.

Who do you know that would really appreciate hearing from you, knowing you’re thinking about them?

Each and every day I think of one or two people I know, people who just “pop into my head”, and I send them a greeting card just to say “Hi” and let them know I’m thinking about them.

• Sometimes it’s because they’re alone.

• Sometimes it’s for no reason at all – they just crossed my mind.

One of the greatest things about reaching out to touch another person with a greeting card is the joy of seeing them receive acknowledgment for their efforts.

They get excited by expressions of congratulations whether it’s for something they had nothing to do with like a birthday, or for something they worked hard for – an academic degree, an anniversary, a promotion at work, the birth of a child, selling a piece of real estate, or starting a home business.

Everyone needs to feel recognized, whether you do it with words, a gift, a reciprocal act of kindness, or just a warm smile. Showing people that you recognize them and care for them gives you and them a great feeling.

The practice of reaching out and touching someone you know each day is a really good practice to develop, AND, when you send a greeting card to touch someone it’s a very powerful way to let them know care. The more you do it, the easier it is.
